Scott brings over 20 years of broad financial services industry experience to Frontier Brokerage. A key factor in joining the firm was his wholehearted belief in a “protection first” financial planning philosophy.

Scott started his career in M&A advisory services with Arthur Andersen and provided alternative financing solutions to growing businesses while at Morgan Stanley. Scott’s passion for risk management led him to Merrill Lynch where he specialized in insurance planning within Merrill’s Private Client Group. In 2016, Scott was promoted to Managing Director at Guardian Life Insurance Co. and later recruited to manage the brokerage division for MassMutual Northern California, where he has been coaching and developing financial advisors in insurance planning. Scott maintains a successful track record of helping advisors incorporate insurance planning in the overall client financial planning process. Some of Scott’s focuses include using Permanent Whole Life Insurance as an Asset Class, College Planning, Executive Bonus, Buy-Sell, Defined Benefit Planning, and other Life, Annuity, Disability and LTC strategies.

Giving back to the community has been an important aspect of Scott’s professional life. He has served as President of the Alumni Association for his Alma Mater, Commissioner for the City of San Ramon’s Parks & Community Services, Member of the City’s Economic Development Advisory Committee and Board Member of the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation.
